Just got the 1002HA netbook for Fathers' Day with a $50 rebate from ASUS. Got tired of lugging a full-sized notebook around to primarily check email from the road. This is light/small enough to just pop into a briefcase or purse as a take along.

I bought this computer after much researching and reading reviews and this one was the best. I bought it for my wife to replace a full size laptop and she could not be happier. I didn't think I would like it because of its size but I liked it so much that I bought one for me as well. I like the fact that it does not feel cheap like all the other ones and the battery life has been fine for our needs. Buy this computer you will love it.

This little devil works great...but the keyboard with the shift button on the wrong side of your right pinky makes me not want to type anything...and the moment I buy it...they replace the keyboard. That really fries me.

I will probably sell this as my trip to be light at any cost is over and I didn't type a word because it made me crazy.

I am concerned that links point to what appears to be the wrong memory upgrade for this machine. I'm not talking about the OCZ one that even Amazon says compatibility can't be confirmed and which has horrible reviews. I am referring to the module manufactured by Crucial. I went on Crucial Technology's site and researched what it said was the correct one for the 1002HA. I even installed the program that scans the computer and verifies compatibility. This is a great product. I ordered it a few months ago and so far it has been great. I planned on upgrading it to 2GB but never got around to it since it runs so quick. I am running the Windows 7 RC on it at the moment and it handles the OS with ease.

Has decent battery life coming in a little over two hours using wireless, no power saving features, and leaving bluetooth enabled. Using power saving features gets you an additional hour.
