I doubt you can get much better bang for the buck. Upgrade to 2GB of memory (it was easy to install), get the case and a wireless bluetooth mouse and you are good to go!

I was up and running in minutes. I was connected to my home's wireless internet connection shortly thereafter. And was done with the Windows updates in about an hour.

Now I can take this thing on business or personal trips to do work on or watch a movie or two or listen to music. Excellent!

I bought this from B and H photo in NYC. Upon arrival it did not work at all. Sent back to B and H. They sent me (after 2 weeks) another unit. This one booted up but the charger did not work so again no computer. Told I had to call ASUS. They are basically useless.

I would NOT recommend this computer. Product support is basically non-existent!

for basic email-ing, internet surfing, messaging w/video is amazing.
Good quality video, audio. I'm told that the camera is better than my Logitech.
I swapped the original memeory with a 2GB memory stick.
We could ask for integrated GPS.
...nothing wrong, to complain.

I purchased the Asus Eee 1000HE over the Aspire 10 inch version. I am so glad that I did. It's perfect for basic surfing, word processing and e-mailing. It comes with 1GB Ram, but I upgraded to 2GB immediately for approximately $26.00 (check Amazon). I was really easy to do, I unscrewed the back panel, pulled out the 1GB and pushed the 2GB in.
