I bought this to use on trips so I could type a journal and access my e-mail. I liked the compact size and the sturdiness of a netbook, as compared to a larger and more fragile laptop. It was simple to begin using the ASUS PC, since it uses Windows XP and Microsoft Works Word, programs I am familiar with. It has plenty of memory for my needs. The only (minor) complaint I have is that the carrying pouch is a bit too snug.

This is a really nice notebook and easy to use. I found taking it on trips worked out well. As it is easy to carry and needed little space on airplan trips. I was worried about downloading large programs on it (due to the amount of memory) but a flash drive fixed that problem and it meets all my needs now. Thanks ASUE Eee

Purchased this for email and surfing. I've had it about a month and have nothing negative to say about it. Works great, battery life is around 6 hours. I've had no memory issues but then again I only use it to surf and do emails. Would recommend.

I adore this computer; in all fairness, I had originally received a dud, but Amazon remedied the situation almost immediately, and I had my new computer of the same model less than 3 days after calling to say that mine was defective. Now that it functions properly, I may say: this computer is wonderful - quick, light, small, and easy to navigate.

I am incredibly pleased with this product, and would recommend it to anyone with fairly small hands. :)

This is actually exactly what I was looking for. It's small portable and has just enough ram/memory to edit images and upload them online, check my email etc. It def. never going to replace my desktop computer. It's purely a computer for on the go...but I'm very happy with it and everyone agrees it's very cute. The only negative I've found is that the keyboard is a tad tight and typing can be tedious unless your extra careful or a hunt and pecker.

Nice little travel case. Although very small, I can fit my mouse and charger into the extra compartment without any trouble. And then this little case fits nicely in my backpack or side case of my motorcycle. Offers little protection, but lots of convenience.

Just got the 1002HA netbook for Fathers' Day with a $50 rebate from ASUS. Got tired of lugging a full-sized notebook around to primarily check email from the road. This is light/small enough to just pop into a briefcase or purse as a take along.

This little devil works great...but the keyboard with the shift button on the wrong side of your right pinky makes me not want to type anything...and the moment I buy it...they replace the keyboard. That really fries me.

I am concerned that links point to what appears to be the wrong memory upgrade for this machine. I'm not talking about the OCZ one that even Amazon says compatibility can't be confirmed and which has horrible reviews. I am referring to the module manufactured by Crucial. This is a great product. I ordered it a few months ago and so far it has been great. I planned on upgrading it to 2GB but never got around to it since it runs so quick. I am running the Windows 7 RC on it at the moment and it handles the OS with ease.

Has decent battery life coming in a little over two hours using wireless, no power saving features, and leaving bluetooth enabled. Using power saving features gets you an additional hour.

I have an Asus 1000he and love it. It does everything I need it to do. However, I was able to play with an Asus 901 and it did everything my 1000he could do for the most part. (Neighbour wanted to try the 1000he so we swapped for a day)

The most immediate differences are:
* 1000he has a 10" screen, 901 has a 8.9" screen
* 1000he has a larger chiclet style keyboard better for touch typists. The 901 has a smaller keyboard that may be ok for hunt-n-peck typists.
