"Great little machine" 2009-11-10
By Randal C. Hunt
Bought this little machine a few weeks ago. So far, it's exceeded my expectations. Boots quickly, battery lasts a long time, has a nice display screen, and much more.
I have only one very minor "issue" -- the internal speaker; it's pretty weak, although I somewhat expected this deficiency, given the units size and price.
On a side note, I've linked up my bluetooth headphones with it and that works well.
All in all -- worth every penny.
"Does just what I need" 2009-10-23

This netbook is perfect for what I wanted it for-travel. I can stay on top of e-mail, reservations, etc. Long battery life, great screen, reasonable price, and a decent size keyboard all come together to make the package work. I know some don't like the size of the battery; however, it does angle the keyboard for a better feel and I am more interested in long work life than looks or the "bump" on the bottom. I actually prefer this to my laptop except for the missing DVD/CD drive but I knew that going in.
"Nice Investment" 2009-10-19
By Gilberto Ramirez (Guatemala)
I buy this computer to go in my Eurotrip in august, this net book have a very good performance about battery, and the next investment for this netbook are a 2G of RAM, now runs Windows 7 and runs nice, but I think if install another 1G of RAM runs very very quickly!!!
I recommend this net book for long travel!!!
"Quite Satisfied" 2009-10-07

POSITIVES:
- Battery actually does last 9 hours, 6 with full brightness
- Good keyboard
- Not too loud
- VERY bright LED screen
- Comes with a nice zipper case
- Matt screen
- Excellent WiFi reception
- Sturdy design
- Runs XP great, starts up faster than my Core 2 Duo Vista Notebook
- Good Audio Control Panel
NEGATIVES
- The case is a white that clashes with the blue
- The CPU is too slow to handle flash video without being a little jerky (Hulu, Youtube etc) but its still watchable and I do watch video on it every day
- The GPU is clocked down to 100mhz but should be 400mhz, this is the case with all netbook but a program called GMAbooster can fix this
- The netbook doesnt contain the official drivers for the trackpad, you'll probably need to track down the real drivers which are available on [...]- The two mouse buttons are really crappy feeling
- Finger prints like crazy
- Doesn't have easy access panels for Ram upgrades. I still upgraded my ram, but some users might be more afraid to do it now; I didnt think it was that hard
- USB ports continue to power devices even after shutdown
Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase, and very pleased with MSI. Its a great netbook and I have a lot of fun with it. The power adapter is larger than I would like, but the battery last so long it doesn't even matter. I have tried to play older games like Counter-Strike 1.6 (15 FPS) and anything 3D just really suffers. Also Adobe flash (most online video) is really taxing on a cpu and it can get a little jerky but its still watchable, I wathc the News Hour with Jim Leher (American Politics Assignment) every day on it, as well as my favorite shows on Hulu.
Great Netbook, I get lots of questions from curious people.
Keep in mind it doesnt have a CD drive. You could however share a cd drive on your network from another computer using Map drives (built into windows) and I think that would work for most uses if you do not have an external.
"wireless web?" 2009-09-28
By aaronrv.com (Indianapolis/Greenwood, IN, USA)
It should be very plain on the set up fold out page, how to connect to the internet. After a few go arounds with it and talking to your tech support, I learned that one simply need to at the same time hold down the Fn and F11 key.
