Battery life is okay and the XP runs okay. This is not a desktop replacement and doing anything with it beyond internet/email use can't be expected to go well. For the price I would have paid extra and got a full blown notebook with bigger keyboard. If you have a very directed use of email, internet and very light word processing this might work.

My brother introduced me to the Eee pc about a year ago when my 10.1 inch Sony Vaio bit the dust. He knew I wanted a lightweight and small "laptop" to take with me to the coffee shops and local restaurants that offer wi-fi services. Late last year, he bought an E-PC. I immediately fell in love with it. One of the things I really miss is the DVD drive, but I know I can buy an external (to use for watching movies). I knew it came with the small size, sold-state hard drive, and I deliberately chose one with the SSHD because this is what went belly-up on the Sony Vaio. It is a little smaller than the Vaio, but I can also carry it in my handbag and hardly notice it's there.
While I LOVED my Vaio and though I miss it dearly, this little gem has met my needs quite well. I find it to be fast and efficient. I am not experiencing problems with it at all in terms of having the Windows XP. I have had no problems connecting to any wi-fi space where I've been. I also don't mind too much the smaller keyboard. (I do have small hands.) I purchased a 16 GB, class 6 SD card, and there seems to be plenty of hard drive space for my needs. If I need more and bigger stuff, I simply attach my external hard drive and retrieve the files from there that I need.
This is a great little PC that will do all the surfing all day long at the coffee shops and restaurants. It is great for travel because it is so lightweight. I have no regrets about getting this PC. Hopefully, it will give me years of pleasure surfing the net at all my favorite hot spots.

Just what I was looking for! My blackberry wasn't doing the job and I needed something more like a PC. Small enough to carry around plus good battery life.

I paid 129 and this is worth every buck.
This is the first time i felt that i can use a computer on your lap.
(I have 10inch and 14inch HP and dell laptops at home which i never
like/prefer to put it on my lap as they are heavy).
Mainly i use to for audio/video chatting..
the cam quality was impressive..the audio quality is sufficient.
