As a lightweight netbook, I thought the 4G would be great for travel. It is rugged and has good connectivity and adequate processing power for email and web browsing. However, I found the apps were space hogs, and the solid state drive was not large enough to host other things I need to do on the road (like music, videos, and pictures). By the time I brought all the paraphenalia I needed to do everything I wanted to (external drives, etc.) I found I was carrying more weight than I was with my old laptop that had space and processing power to do it all. Oh well.

This actually belongs to a friend now, but I used it for a couple of weeks. It does everything you want a travel PC to do. It connects to the internet well, Skype works really well with the integral camera, microphone and speakers. I had a bit of an issue when I loaded Windows Proffessional Care that I could not navigate to all parts of the screen regardless of screen resolution setting (not a problem with the 900). The battery life is good compared to the eee 900 I bought for myself. The choice on the eee is a balance between price, battery life and screen size. If battery life is everything then don't hesitate, get the 7" eee. If it isn't then the 900 is probably a better bet with its 9" screen since they are built in the same case, so weight and physical size are identical. The other point worth noting is that sound quality on the 7" is notably better because the speakers are either side of the screen rather than on the underside of the unit. To be honest, browsing the internet and listening to BBC radio online, I couldn't detect a difference in speed between this and the 900 which has more RAM and a different processor. It is worth noting that the keyboard legend is easier to read on the white eee than the black eee.

I did not recieve Tru Def brand, I got AnyTV brand. All the same parts as shown in ad incuding stick, antenna, remote and RCA adaptor to mini plug. You also get software w/player. I am using on an Aspire one netbook and the few channels I get are good. I live on 3rd floor and had to go out on landing and hold antenna over rail to get recetion enough to get picture. Have not tried conecting to cable but am sure tuner will get all chan. and picture is chrisal clear in high def. Good product for the money

I love this little case. It fits my Asus EPC perfectly and has enough room in the outside pocket (which unzipps completely on 3 sides just like the main pocket) for my mini wireless mouse, pens, ear bud headphones, and power cables. The little pouch becomes a bit bulky then, but that's okay. The case is a snug fit around the laptop. There are corner grips for the laptop (clear plastic for the screen side and black elastic for the keyboard side) that don't seem to get in the way. I don't use them all the time since I often just take my laptop out of the case when I use it anyway.

But for how I use this, it is a perfect little case. I recommend it for anyone looking for a mini laptop case with a little room for some extras. The handle is nice and easily folds down and out of the way.

This softside case is incredibly roomy! Right now mine contains: in the large compartment, my EEE 1000HE netbook AND my LG Slim External Multi DVD Rewriter (I put the 100HE's cleaning cloth between them to prevent scratches); in the small compartment, the 1000HE power cord, PLUS both LG cords (USB & power), AND my Toshiba 320 GB mini external hard drive with its cord! Even with all of this stuff in there, I still have at least 1/4 inch or more clearance between my netbook and the zipper all the way around, so no danger of damage there. The memory foam IS thin, but the photos above are accurate: the foam IS deep enough (1/4 inch) to make a handprint in and, more importantly, to protect these precious gadgets from gentle bumps (it is NOT a hardsided case, so don't throw it around). Aesthetically, the case is very attractive and tidy/tight looking, clean lines, true "navy" blue. Very well constructed with tough seems; fabric seems tough also, but I haven't had it long enough to test that out. Wonderful product at a great price!

After reading the various reviews posted at Amazon, I selected this particular item because its description included 1000HE, not 1000HA. Pay attention to this difference - the Asus 1000HE is a thicker machine and will require a larger case. What I appreciate is that my machine fits "just so" and the extra pocket carries my Kensington Wireless Optical Mouse with USB extension cord, my Asus AC adapter with cords, my AT&T wireless network card and the screen cleaning cloth all together. Nice. I don't require a portable DVD reader for field work - one less item to haul.

Please keep in mind that you are buying a compact case that should provide safe transportation of your Asus netbook computer. This case provides the exact solution for my specific requirements - small size, ease of use and adequate storage. A larger case with greater storage capacity is what I wanted to avoid.

Just a comment regarding the proper venting of this machine - I found that the Asus vents the excess heat through its left side. In no way is this process blocked by this case. I use this netbook everyday and have not experienced overheating or performance problems. My Asus 1000HE has operated trouble free while secured within this case. I think people should know the truth about this case and I'm not a cheerleader. I bough this + 1000HE + SDRW-08D1S-U on 4/27/09. It just fits the 1000HE and if you do not want the zipper chewing through you Netbooks plastic exterior, you need to be extremely careful. You will not be tossing a Netbook in to zip-and-go. The picture above for memory foam is exaggerated as it is less than 1/4 inch thick and will not show a handprint. There are two clear plastic strips that hold onto your Netbook top and two spandex straps for the bottom. The clear plastic straps will break quickly and should not be used anyway. With this setup, your case will cling to the bottom and top of your Netbook leaving no room for airflow. The outside pocket will hold your power supply with chord and a very, very small mouse. It will not hold the ASUS DVDRW (SDRW-081DS-U) drive, which is a small form factor drive, and the power chord for the Netbook at the same time. The outside pocket is about the size of a sandwich bag (7 x 5.5 x 3/4 usable inches). Yes that is less than one inch in height. Convenience aside and $30+/-, it carries your Netbook snuggly. If you want a case that will carry all your stuff for travels, this isn't it. If you need something to carry your Netbook for day-work, this would suffice.

I wanted a laptop to just check emails, applications, and type documents. My Asus was the perfect choice. I don't miss windows either, the Linux system is pretty easy to figure out. I wanted something small that would fit in my purse and this works just fine. It also worked great with my digital camera.

There are some things that could be better. The keyboard is rather small and took some getting use to. The screen could be bigger but after frequent use you get use to it. I'll probably upgrade to an 8.9". I prefer more memory, but at the price I purchased it for, I'm not complaining. I love the fact that it loads so fast. The internet connection is faster than my desktop.

If you need something to just browse the internet and type a document, Asus is your man!

I didn't bring my laptop with me on holiday because it's too heavy. Competition is intense for the computers at my son's house so I've staked out his Asus eee pc, and I've really fallen for this little gadget.

I'm not a Linux user but the interface is pretty seamless and believe me, I'm not missing Windows at all. This is a subnotebook the size of a paperback book, with a 7 inch screen and a full--though slightly small--keyboard. It has a 4GB SSD and 512k of flash memory, Intel Celeron M 900 MHz processor, and no optical drive to weigh you down.

My son has Firefox on it, and LaTeX Editor, and he pops up a Unix window when he needs it for work. The eee pc came preloaded with Skype and a webcam, OpenOffice tools (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and PDF reader), photo/music/video managers, a media player, integrated speakers, and some cool learning software. And of course ethernet.

I watched and laughed when my granddaughter, just turned eight, picked the Asus up one day when it was the only computer available; there was some eye-rolling (if you have an eight-year-old girl, you know what I mean) but in no time she had checked her email and was playing a game online.

Battery life is not huge but it's respectable and you get plenty of warning that you need to plug in. Intense use doesn't seem to be a problem, though this evening when I had four browser tabs and a few other applications open, then tried to open the "planetarium" software, the eee pc froze. I left it alone for a while and it worked the kinks out, even offering me recovery of my unsaved document (which happened to be this review).

This little object of desire would never replace my Thinkpad, but it would fit in my handbag and be the perfect traveling link to my online life. The netbook I've been coveting is two or even three times its size and now looks gross and huge to me, I'm SO glad I got to play with this eee pc--it has gone straight to the top of my wish list.

I have had my cute little EEE PC for nearly two years and this little thing is a fantastic and amazing little computer. I use it for business and primarily for internet access and email - that is what it does best! It loads in a second (mainly because it does not run on stupid Windows!) It's easy and quick to find wireless internet access points. Great full color screen, keyboard is close to full size and quick to adjust to. I just think it is a beautiful little computer for a 2nd home computer - not a main computer (no CD drive, etc) - but that is not what this little unit is about, really. It's all about secondary computer access - that is what it is made for and what it does masterfully!

I bought mine for 399.00 and thought it was a steal. Now I have seen them for nearly half that price ! What a steal - get this little gem - you will never regret it.

I'm glad I got this product just a few days after buying my Eee 1000HE. The 1000HE's blue lid is shiny and beautiful, but I was constantly wiping it down to erase fingerprints and smudges, and I quickly tired of that level of maintenance. This design complements the dark blue color of my netbook, looks quite attractive, and doesn't show fingerprints or smudges. It has two pieces, one for the lid and one for the wristrest, and I applied them both.

I've had a DecalGirl skin on another netbook, and found that it was durable and although it stuck firmly through several months of use, it could be removed cleanly - leaving no residue behind. So I'm confident in this brand.

Bad Amazon! No Biscuit!

I'm sure that this bag is completely in line with the reviews given by other people. I can't say - having ordered this bag two separate times, I still haven't received it. In both cases, Amazon shipped me a different bag that was obviously mislabelled in the warehouse as the product I ordered.

Amazon's customer service page indicates that they won't ship a replacement unless the mistake was their fault; but they wouldn't ship a replacement for this one. Not sure how this wasn't their fault - I certainly didn't mess it up. The disaffected indian playing phone certainly didn't ignite the world with friendly and helpful support. His boredom was palpable. If I could give the phone support half a star, I would.

That also seems counter-intuitive when you consider they should be trying to secure the sale - making me return the item and then order it again just gives me an opportunity to spread my dollars elsewhere, which is exactly what I'm going to do.

Thought the interested purchasers should know that this bag may not be the one they receive, which can be frustrating after waiting 3 weeks for it to arrive via super saver shipping.

Super Saver shipping used to be a reasonable alternative to paying for standard ground, but I guess Amazon came to the conclusion that there wasn't enough distance between the two options. They certainly fixed that; I'll think about shelling out the extra 4$ for shipping next time I'm buying something from these clowns.

I have ordered this product three times now. All three times I have received a completely different bag and have had to return it. I have contacted Amazon and have been told to contact Senyx. I have contacted Senyx and they informed me that I needed to contact Amazon. Save yourself the hassle and order another product. Plenty of other good bags out there.

Received this bag today and I could not be more pleased. The bag is suitable for a man or woman and is very classic looking. I have a 7.5" Asus EEE PC in it and although this bag is for a 10" screen I would not have wanted to order a smaller one. There is some room next to the PC but it's still held sturdily in place with a velcro tab. I also have my Kindle (the original one)all the external adaptors for the PC and the Kindle and a mouse in the bag. My small cell phone fits in a side pocket and I have drivers license, credit cards and cash in the inside zipper pocket. With this bag there is no need for me to take a purse as everything I need fits inside the bag and I still have some pocket space left over. I highly recommend this bag. It's a bit expensive but it has the extras that make the bag worth it.

Before ordering this bag, I searched through all offered through Amazon, and there are a lot, and I am so glad I chose this one.

The skin design is great, it came exactly as it was pictured. The only problem I had was with the air bubbles and the part of the skin that goes across the wrist rests, I couldn't get it lined up properly and it started stretching so now it's crooked. Other than that I get compliments on the design all the time and it hasn't started peeling and I've had it on for about a year now.

This is a great little travel/starter notebook.

Pros: VERY lightweight & portability, good screen visibility, ease of use.

Cons: After several months of use, the battery life decreases, linux can be tricky for someone used to Windows or MacOS.

I have had mine since roughly 05/2008, and will continue to use it for some time. I will be seeking a better replacement battery, though.
